Program Description
A minor in leadership development from 91³Ô¹ÏÍø is designed to pair with any bachelor's program. The leadership skills learned in our leadership development program prepare students for the wide variety of challenges and situations that emerge when managing people and organizations, using leadership traits both learned and inherent to solve problems. In addition to providing a well-rounded educational experience, a minor in leadership studies can increase hiring potential after graduation.
Prospective Students
Learning Outcomes
- Leadership development students will become knowledgeable in the fundamentals of leadership team development
- To become a dynamic team leader, students will learn how to develop leadership skills, and implement strategic leadership
- Students seeking the leadership development minor will explore topics such as collaboration, managing conflict, and leading in diverse contexts

Experiences
- Rockhurst leadership development students are asked to complete an applied leadership course
- Applied leadership students are required to arrange and assume a leadership role on campus, at work, or in a service project
Outcomes
- Graduates with a leadership development minor present a desirable addition to a variety of career paths
- Graduates with effective leadership skills are highly qualified for work in sales, retail, human resources, entrepreneurship, and general management
